Dentures

What are dentures?

Dentures are a time-tested solution for replacing missing teeth, whether you need to replace several teeth or an entire set of upper or lower teeth. Typically crafted from durable acrylic resin bonded to a metal support base, dentures are tailored to restore your oral function and aesthetics.

There are two main types of dentures:

  1. Complete Dentures – Ideal for patients who have lost all their natural teeth.
  2. Partial Dentures – Designed for individuals who still retain some natural teeth, providing a seamless replacement for missing teeth.

While dentures remain a popular choice, advancements in dental care have introduced alternatives like dental implants. At our denture clinic, we’ll help you explore all options, ensuring the best fit for your oral health needs.

The benefits of dentures

More natural looking and more comfortable than ever before, today’s dentures are a great solution for patients with missing teeth. They restore function, enabling people to eat normally, speak clearly and feel confident about the aesthetics of their smile. They also provide support for the cheeks and lips.

Your appointments with Brite Dental

To ensure you receive the best possible fit for your dentures an impression mould of your natural remaining teeth as well as your gum line is made and used as a template. From these impressions they are custom-made and will usually take around four weeks to craft.

Over time the contour of your gums will change, therefore it is important to visit the Brite Dental team regularly to ensure your dentures still fit securely and any adjustments can be made.

They are also one of the more cost effective solutions for replacing missing teeth. If you have health insurance, your provider may help you with the cost of dentures, so don’t forget to check first.

Dr Kader can talk to you about all your options and offer more information about the treatment options that will best suit your needs.
